We are pleased to present our annual report for 2025, which showcases the impact of our Foundation work in the community. In 2025, we were able to distribute a total of $1,239,861.02 in donations, which was used to fund various programs and initiatives that align with our mission. This report provides an insight into our Foundation’s work and hope that it will inspire others to join us in our efforts to support and initiate programs benefiting the relief of poverty, health, education and other purposes beneficial to the community.
1. Bedford Fire Training Center – $50,000
Improvements to the Bedford Fire Training Center, which serves as a key facility for the training and ongoing certification of over 300 firefighters across 15 municipalities in the Brome-Missisquoi region. The funds were allocated to installing a sprinkler system, completing upper-level metalwork and safety railings, adding air vents for smoke control, constructing an underground water reservoir, and repainting the structure to protect the steel used in renovations.
2. Sun Youth – $25,000 (1st installment of a $75,000 pledge)
Annual commitment of $25,000 over three years, totaling $75,000, to support of Sun Youth’s Disaster Relief Fund – Fire. This program provides emergency assistance to individuals and families affected by residential fires, including food, clothing, transportation, and temporary support until stable housing is secured.
3. Cultiver pour partager – $150,000
Construction of a loading dock adjacent to the church in Saint-Alfred, home to Cultiver pour Partager’s central operations. This organization delivers fresh vegetables year-round to about 50 food banks in the Beauce region, supporting roughly 6,000 individuals per month. The project aims to improve food distribution logistics and forms part of a broader initiative to repurpose the church as a local hub for food security and sustainable agriculture.
4. Régie des Services de Sécurité Incendie Regroupés (RSSIR) – $173,985.29
Replacement of expired breathing apparatus for volunteer firefighters in the municipalities of Saint-Paulin and Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc, under the jurisdiction of RSSIR. Each municipality received $86,992.65 to purchase eight self-contained breathing apparatus units, sixteen air cylinders, and fourteen full-face masks.
5. Fondation de la SSS de l’Énergie – $105,137.86 (two projects)
Centre régional de santé mentale
The first is a $100,000 installment (of a two-year $200,000 commitment) to refurbish bathroom facilities on the third floor of the Centre régional de santé mentale in Shawinigan, improving safety and dignity for the residents.
Purchase of small medical equipment
The second is a $5,137.86 donation for the purchase of small medical equipment to aid chronic disease prevention, including blood pressure monitors, a vital signs monitor, and bio-impedance scales used in outpatient care for individuals with diabetes.
6. Fondation Santé Trois-Rivières – $75,517.87 (two projects)
Replacement of dialysis chairs
$65,517.87 to fund the replacement of eleven outdated dialysis chairs at the CHAUR dialysis unit, improving patient comfort and staff ergonomics during prolonged treatments.
Fonds d’oncologie sociale
$10,000 to support the Fonds d’oncologie sociale, which provides essential financial assistance to low-income cancer patients, covering needs such as transportation, food, and lodging to ensure continuity of treatment.
7. Elizabeth House Foundation – $20,000
Donation to support the Elizabeth House Foundation’s “Live Your Dream” Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to young mothers pursuing education or job training. The scholarship covers essential expenses such as tuition, books, laptops, childcare, and transportation, helping participants gain independence and long-term stability while advancing the Foundation’s mission to alleviate poverty among vulnerable populations.
8. Régie des incendies du Centre-Mékinac – $150,000
Acquisition of a dedicated emergency vehicle to be used for rescue operations involving the “Jaws of Life” and for firefighter decontamination. This vehicle will increase the Régie’s operational efficiency, ensure compliance with CNESST standards, and improve safety for both firefighters and residents across the Centre-Mékinac region.
9. Diabète Drummond Inc. – $50,000
Based in Drummondville, this organization supports individuals living with diabetes through education and financial assistance. This donation will support the John R. McConnell PompeAccès+ Program, providing insulin pumps and necessary supplies to diabetics facing financial difficulties.
10. Breakthrough T1D – $50,000
Support to Breakthrough T1D’s Access for All campaign, which advocates for universal access to diabetes technologies such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. The Foundation’s contribution will help strengthen public policy and awareness initiatives aimed at improving access to life-sustaining care and enhancing quality of life for people living with type 1 diabetes in the province of Quebec and across Canada.
11. Association québécoise des bénévoles en recherche et sauvetage (AQBRS) – $89,500
Purchase of protective and operational equipment for AQBRS volunteer search and rescue teams across Quebec. The new equipment, including rescue combat suits, safety gear, GPS devices, helmets and safety vests, will enhance volunteer safety and readiness during emergency interventions in both rural and urban environments.
12. Batshaw Youth and Family Centers Foundation – $30,720
Renewal of support for the Pet Therapy Program, which provides individualized and group sessions with therapy animals to children and youth in Batshaw’s care. The funding will sustain 125 sessions and four large-group events in 2025–2026, helping participants build trust, reduce anxiety, and strengthen emotional resilience through positive interaction with trained animals.
13. Entraide communautaire Sainte-Mélanie – $10,000
Purchase of grocery gift cards and food products, particularly proteins not supplied by Moisson Lanaudière. The funds will assist local families facing hardship during the winter closure months and support the organization’s ongoing mission to promote food security and community solidarity.
14. Welcome Hall Mission – $10,000 for general operating support
Long-standing Montreal charity offering meals, shelter, clothing, health services, and social support programs to disadvantaged individuals and families to help them overcome poverty.
15. Generations Foundation – $10,000 for general operating support
Montreal charity that runs daily nutritious meal programs for school children and organizes holiday food and toy drives to support children and families in need.
16. The Gazette Christmas Fund – $10,000 for general operating support
Community holiday fund in Montreal that raises and distributes financial support to struggling local individuals and families during the Christmas season.
17. L’Oeuvre des Samaritains – $10,000 for general operating support
Montreal food distribution centre that provides low-cost groceries and supportive assistance to individuals and families with limited income.
18. Dans la Rue – $10,000 for general operating support
Non-profit serving homeless and at-risk youth (ages 12–25) in Montreal with drop-in support, shelter, food, psychological help, and outreach services.
19. Mile End Mission – $10,000 for general operating support
Community service organization in Montreal that provides meals, grocery support, and other essential services for socially excluded and low-income individuals.
20. Weredale Foundation – $10,000 for general operating support
This Foundation operates Camp Weredale, offering inclusive overnight summer camp experiences for children and youth, especially those facing social or economic challenges.
21. Canadian Red Cross (Hurricane Melissa Appeal) – $10,000 for general operating support
An emergency humanitarian appeal by the Canadian Red Cross to raise funds for relief and recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa, including emergency supplies and shelter support.
22. La Hutte – $10,000 for general operating support
Shelter and housing charity that provides emergency accommodation, meals, and support services to help individuals transition out of homelessness in the Lanaudière and Laurentides regions.
23. Chez Doris – $10,000 for general operating support
A Montreal women’s shelter offering daytime drop-in services, meals, clothing, hygiene facilities, and socio-recreational support for women in situations of hardship.
24. Centre de pédiatrie sociale en communauté de Lanaudière CPSCL – $50,000 (second installment of a $100,000 pledge)
Support to this organization’s mission to provide accessible healthcare and social services to underprivileged children and families. This donation contributed to the service expansion in Chertsey and Rawdon, addressing urgent community needs.
25. Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke CHUS – $100,000 (second installment of a $300,000 pledge)
Financial support for the acquisition and upgrading of essential medical and research equipment at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS). The funded expenditures included the upgrading of a clinical IRM 3T system, the acquisition and installation of a research-grade IRM 9.4T, and the purchase of specialized equipment for the nephrology department.
26. Old Brewery Mission – $10,000 for general operating support ( second installment of a $30,000 pledge)
Montreal-based organization providing comprehensive supports to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness—including prevention, emergency shelter and basic necessities (meals, beds, showers, clothing) for men and women experiencing homelessness, and rehousing programs—to help break the cycle of homelessness.
